Summer 2010

Dan mowing the township grass along Route 24.

Pedaling for Kicks - Along Route 66. This 50 mile ride was sponsored by the Fellowship of Christian Farmers in Hudson, IL.

One of the rest stops. They served cookies, PB & J sandwiches, fruit, and Gatorade.

Does a tree branch make noise when it falls and no one is around? People just picked up their bikes and carried around it.

Here is a loon in the St. Regis wilderness canoe region of the Adirondacks. I was so excited to think that we might see (and hear) a loon. As expected, my 15 year old son wasn't easily impressed.

Follensby Pond.

Here is Dan on one of the portages.

Camel's Hump Summit in Vermont's Green Mountains

Burlington, VT - overlooking Lake Champlain

It rained briefly during one of our hikes. I told Dan that rain helps build character. He said, no it doesn't. It makes people miserable.

Tom and Mom with the smoked eel. We had to pack it in ice for the trip home. When Dan awoke in the car he asked what was in the cooler. I replied: 2 sandwiches and an eel.
