We went on a big cross country ski adventure yesterday. See the farmstead in the background? We visited all the little wooded areas looking for coyotes, deer, and such but all we saw were footprints. Tom thinks there is a foot of snow blanketing his fields. He's already begun to fret how this is all going to melt in time for him to plant corn in 2-3 months.
When the air is calm (an Illinois rarity) the cats like to sun themselves on the deck. If it weren't for the cats, Shadow's life would be most pathetic. As you can see in the last picture, Big Grey's claws are out and he is zeroed in on the fact that Shadow was standing right next to me.
Apparently we're supposed to get another 3-7 inches of snow tomorrow!
